Recently, I was approached by my friend, Ava, who was running for the Class of 2019 Vice President. To strengthen her campaign, she asked me to create a poster for her to put around the school.
FINISHED POSTER
PROCESSWhen Ava and I decided I would be recreating the Obama poster shown on the right, I suggested we included a photo of Ava to match the style and so our fellow peers could recognize her from her name and face. After taking the photo, I masked the image. I then used the "Sketch" Photoshop filter and changed the colors to navy blue and beige to match the background. I arranged the photo and text in Adobe Illustrator, and used the color red for anything that needed to be emphasized and to make the entire layout more colorful. '2019', 'VICE PRESIDENT', and 'TAN' are all in red because they are the most important parts to remember in the layout.

INSPIRATIONSAva wanted an artistic yet simple design for her poster, so I researched simple yet expressive political posters. My personal favorite where a sketched, simple Obama poster and a two dimensional Bernie Sanders poster. Ava decided she liked the style of the Obama poster the most, so I recreated her poster in that style.
