This cereal box design was meant to introduce packaging design and it's assembly by creating an original cereal 'brand' in a miniature box format.

Unfortunately, I began working on this project late due to the fact that I was completing another project for my school's yearbook, therefore I do not have any solid planning. However, I wanted to take a spin on something iconic in pop culture and mix it with something already recognizable. I based my cereal box design off of Cheerios, and decided to include something that rhymed, which happened to be 'Han Solos'. The theme of the box is related to Star Wars, from the Death Star maze on the back to the 'Wookie Size' sizing on the front. First, I looked up a template for a cereal box online, which I then traced in Adobe Illustrator, which is the program I used the the majority of this project. I then proceeded to replicate the Cheerios box design, however with a Star Wars take on it. I made sure I included the important elements of a cereal box such as the nutrition facts, company logo, and descriptions of the cereal that are labeled on food products. When I completed the design, I then printed it and spray mounted it on a thin piece of cardboard, which I then folded and glued to finish my box.

Overall, I am satisfied with how my cereal box turned out, considering I was crunched for time in making it. I do think that my idea could have more original, but I think that the context is somewhat original. I believe that I used the time given accordingly to complete the best project I could, and I hope to do more packaging design in the future.
